Il est mesur\u00e9 en Volt par m\u00e8tre (V\/m). Plus la tension est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, plus le CE qui en r\u00e9sulte est intense.<\/p>\n<p>Le champ magn\u00e9tique est li\u00e9 au courant. Plus l&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 du courant est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, plus le CM r\u00e9sultant est intense. L\u2019unit\u00e9 du CM est l\u2019amp\u00e8re par m\u00e8tre (A\/m), mais on pr\u00e9f\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utiliser le tesla (T) qui est l&rsquo;unit\u00e9 du flux d&rsquo;induction magn\u00e9tique . Une relation directe existe entre les deux : elle d\u00e9pend du milieu dans lequel le champ se d\u00e9place. Pratiquement, nous parlerons souvent de champ magn\u00e9tique, en T. Nos appareils \u00e9lectriques fonctionnent en 50 Hz.<\/p>\n<p>Le spectre \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur une tr\u00e8s large gamme de fr\u00e9quences (en Hertz, Hz) et de longueurs d&rsquo;onde (en m\u00e8tre, m). Les champs \u00e0 50 Hz ne constituent qu&rsquo;une infime partie du spectre des ondes \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques : la lumi\u00e8re visible fait \u00e9galement partie de ce spectre (fr\u00e9quences de 385 THz \u00e0 750 THz, 1 THz = 10<sup>12<\/sup> Hz), au m\u00eame titre que les ondes radio de la t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile (fr\u00e9quences de l\u2019ordre du GHz, 1 GHz = 10<sup>9<\/sup> Hz) ou les rayons X (fr\u00e9quences de l\u2019ordre de 1000 THz).<\/p>\n<p>La fr\u00e9quence est le nombre de cycles qui se produisent durant une seconde. L&rsquo;unit\u00e9 de la fr\u00e9quence est le Hertz (Hz). Le r\u00e9seau de distribution \u00e0 basse tension achemine l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 jusque nos habitations. Il existe plusieurs niveaux de haute tension (75, 150, 220 ou 380 kV \u2013 milliers de Volt) en Belgique et plusieurs niveaux de basse tension ; la tension est abaiss\u00e9e par des transformateurs.[\/vc_column_text][\/toggle][toggle color=\u00a0\u00bbExtra-Color-2&Prime; heading_tag=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb heading_tag_functionality=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb title=\u00a0\u00bbPuissance et courant\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column_text]La puissance est une quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie fournie ou consomm\u00e9e par seconde, elle se mesure en Watt (W). Nos appareils \u00e9lectriques sont plus ou moins gourmands en \u00e9nergie en fonction de la puissance qu\u2019ils consomment : par exemple, un four de 2000 W consommera plus d\u2019\u00e9nergie sur un certain laps de temps qu\u2019une ampoule \u00e9conomique de 15 W.<\/p>\n<p>Le souci avec l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique est qu\u2019elle n\u2019est pas stockable. Cela signifie que l\u2019approvisionnement en \u00e9nergie se fait \u00e0 la demande des consommateurs et donc que l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 qui circule dans le r\u00e9seau n\u2019est pas en permanence \u00e0 son maximum. La production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 dans les centrales doit s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la demande [*].<\/p>\n<p>La puissance est li\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019intensit\u00e9 du courant, qui se mesure en Amp\u00e8re (A). On peut dire que pour une certaine tension (par exemple une ligne de 150 kV) la puissance et le courant varient d\u2019une mani\u00e8re similaire au cours d\u2019une journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Le courant \u00e9lectrique consiste en un d\u00e9placement des \u00e9lectrons qui se trouvent dans la mati\u00e8re, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire dans le cuivre ou l\u2019aluminium qui composent les c\u00e2bles \u00e9lectriques. Dans leur d\u00e9placement, ils se cognent les uns les autres et s\u2019\u00e9chauffent. En s\u2019\u00e9chauffant, ils perdent de l\u2019\u00e9nergie. Cette \u00e9nergie perdue en chaleur n\u2019arrivera pas \u00e0 nos habitations et impose de surcro\u00eet des contraintes aux infrastructures \u00e9lectriques.
