Pour pallier cette difficult\u00e9, la seule solution est de relier directement les consommateurs aux lieux de production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de produire l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 la demande.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9seaux de transport et de distribution acheminent l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 depuis les centrales de production (nucl\u00e9aires, hydrauliques, thermiques, \u00e9oliennes&#8230;) jusqu&rsquo;aux zones de consommation. Pour pouvoir notamment minimiser les pertes d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie, le transport d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 sur de longues distances n\u00e9cessite des lignes \u00e0 haute tension. Par contre, la distribution aux consommateurs s&rsquo;effectue \u00e0 basse tension. Des transformateurs permettent de modifier les niveaux de tension.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, le r\u00e9seau d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie (lignes, c\u00e2bles, postes de transformation) transporte, r\u00e9partit et distribue l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie fournie par les centrales \u00e0 tous les utilisateurs. L&rsquo;installation de ces c\u00e2bles comporte cependant divers inconv\u00e9nients :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compar\u00e9 aux lignes a\u00e9riennes, le co\u00fbt par kilom\u00e8tre de c\u00e2ble est sensiblement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 (1 km de c\u00e2ble peut co\u00fbter jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 10 fois plus que 1 km de ligne selon le niveau de tension, le profil du terrain, etc.) (Bastard P., 2000).<\/li>\n<li>Les c\u00e2bles sont principalement install\u00e9s en voirie et risque d&rsquo;\u00eatre endommag\u00e9s lors de travaux effectu\u00e9s sur le r\u00e9seau routier.<\/li>\n<li>Les c\u00e2bles sont \u00e9galement moins accessibles pour les r\u00e9parations et la technologie n&rsquo;a pas encore r\u00e9solu tous les probl\u00e8mes pos\u00e9s par le transport \u00e0 tr\u00e8s haute tension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00c0 l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur d&rsquo;un c\u00e2ble souterrain, il n&rsquo;y a pas de champ \u00e9lectrique. Par contre, pour la m\u00eame intensit\u00e9 de courant, le c\u00e2ble g\u00e9n\u00e8re un champ magn\u00e9tique sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 la ligne. Il faut savoir que ce sont des valeurs maximales, mesur\u00e9es en l\u2019absence de tout obstacle car le CE est facilement att\u00e9nu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>A proximit\u00e9 des installations \u00e9lectriques en courant continu, on peut mesurer des CM statiques de l\u2019ordre de quelques dizaines de \u00b5T sous les lignes de transport d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de l\u2019ordre de 200 \u00b5T sous une ligne de train.
