Les courants de contact ne sont pas non plus des courants induits, li\u00e9s aux champs \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques ambiants, ni des d\u00e9charges \u00e9lectrostatiques (ESD).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=\u00a0\u00bb504&Prime; alignment=\u00a0\u00bbcenter\u00a0\u00bb animation=\u00a0\u00bbFade In\u00a0\u00bb border_radius=\u00a0\u00bbnone\u00a0\u00bb box_shadow=\u00a0\u00bbnone\u00a0\u00bb max_width=\u00a0\u00bb100%\u00a0\u00bb margin_bottom=\u00a0\u00bb15&Prime;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Figure 1 \u2013 Courants de contact (machine \u00e0 laver et baignoire)<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Ils sont li\u00e9s \u00e0 une diff\u00e9rence de potentiel appel\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0potentiel de contact\u00a0\u00bb. Voyons les deux exemples illustr\u00e9s \u00e0 la figure 1:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>En cas de d\u00e9gradation partielle de l&rsquo;isolant des c\u00e2bles d&rsquo;une vieille machine \u00e0 laver, il peut y avoir un courant de fuite. C&rsquo;est un courant faible qui est compatible avec un fonctionnement apparemment normal de la machine. Selon la qualit\u00e9 de la liaison \u00e0 la terre du b\u00e2ti de la machine, ce dernier peut \u00eatre port\u00e9 \u00e0 un potentiel diff\u00e9rent de la terre: entre la main de la personne qui touche le b\u00e2ti et le sol, il existe une diff\u00e9rence de potentiel. Un courant traversera le corps.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 de ce courant sera faible si le b\u00e2ti est correctement mis \u00e0 la terre et si l&rsquo;imp\u00e9dance de la personne est \u00e9lev\u00e9e (par exemple mains s\u00e8ches et semelles assez isolantes).<\/li>\n<li>La situation de la baignoire est un peu plus compliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 comprendre!<br \/>\nLes tuyaux et la baignoire doivent \u00eatre au m\u00eame potentiel pour emp\u00eacher les chocs \u00e9lectriques. Cela se fait en connectant les tuyaux et\/ou la baignoire \u00e0 la terre et en connectant les diff\u00e9rentes parties conductrices avec un c\u00e2ble protecteur (liaison \u00e9quipotentielle).<br \/>\nMalgr\u00e9 tout, certaines parties pourraient \u00eatre port\u00e9es \u00e0 un potentiel diff\u00e9rent pour diverses raisons. Par exemple, une diff\u00e9rence de potentiel pourrait survenir entre le tuyau d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e d&rsquo;eau (le robinet) et le tuyau de vidange. Un enfant jouant avec le robinet pourrait \u00eatre travers\u00e9 par un courant de contact. L&rsquo;enfant \u00e9tant nu et mouill\u00e9, l&rsquo;imp\u00e9dance sera faible: un courant pourra le traverser plus facilement que dans l&rsquo;exemple pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent (voir aussi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbemg.uliege.be\/fr\/bbemg-courants-de-contact-et-leucemie-infantile\/\">Courants de contact et leuc\u00e9mie infantile?<\/a>).<br \/>\nRemarques:<br \/>\nLes tuyaux en PVC, moins conducteurs, n&rsquo;entra\u00eene pas de tension de contact dans la baignoire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cependant, l&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 des courants de contact est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement faible. Tr\u00e8s souvent, les courants de contact ne sont m\u00eame pas per\u00e7us (seuil de perception: environ 0,5 mA).<\/p>\n<p>Pour des raisons de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 li\u00e9es aux risques d&rsquo;\u00e9lectrocution, les installations \u00e9lectriques r\u00e9sidentielles sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9es contre les courants de d\u00e9faut quand ils d\u00e9passent 300 mA (30 mA dans les salles d&rsquo;eau), ce qui signifie qu&rsquo;un courant inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 30 mA n&rsquo;entra\u00eenera pas la coupure du circuit par le diff\u00e9rentiel. Un d\u00e9passement du seuil de perception ne provoquera donc pas directement le d\u00e9clenchement de la protection locale.
