This work package focuses on knowledge transfer & translation and engagement with stakeholders.
Two teams of scientists are working on this topic. One team is reviewing the scientific literature on the potential human effects of EMF, while the other is focusing on the potential effects on biodiversity, crop production and animals.
Knowledge transfert & translation and engagement with stakeholders
Literature overview on health effects on humans
Every three months, a report on the recently published scientific literature (epidemiological and experimental studies) on the potential effects of extremely low electric and magnetic fields (50 Hz) on human health is added to our website. This work is carried out by Ghent University (Dept. Public Health) and can be accessed here
Literature overview on EMF effect on biodiversity/crop production and animals
From 2025, the team from HOGENT will prepare a quaterly report on the recently published scientific literature (experimental and observational studies) on the potential effects of extremely low electric and magnetic fields (50 Hz) on biodiversity, agricultural crop production and animals.
